Role : Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Cheswick, PA
Type: FTE/Permanent
Primary Duties:
Design and conduct experiments, collect data, and interpret results.
Develop Direct and Quadrature circuits for electric motors, generators, and exciters.
Perform transient simulation of electric motors, generators, exciters, rectifiers, and controls.
Plan and coordinate the execution of complex engineering solutions, including documentation and reporting.
Perform high-level electrical analysis of transformers, rod position indicators, and other electromagnetic devices.
Design new equipment and machinery, oversee installation and testing.
Lead technical teams in design and analytical activities for product design, development, and production.
Mentor less experienced engineers and develop their skills.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required, Masters preferred. PhD a plus.
15+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a transient simulation skill set.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: 2D/3D Electro Magnetic Finite Element Analysis, System Modeling (Mathcad, Matlab, Simulink, Flux2D), Acoustics, Thermal Analysis.
Experience in Direct and Quadrature circuit development and analysis of electric motors, generators, and exciters.
Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies.
Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
