Senior Mechanical Engineer - Commercial

Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Commercial

Location: MN- ONSITE

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Thermodynamic Principles (e.g., HVAC Engineering and Design, load/energy modeling calculations, etc.).
2. Develop estimates for assigned scope of work and be accountable for ensuring we stay within scope.
3. May serve as project manager for complete projects, overseeing a project team.
4. Support the business development process through input to proposals, meeting and presenting to prospective customers, etc.
5. Provide work direction to other team members, including subcontractors, as assigned.
6. Approve final equipment selections and drawing submittals.
7. Provide technical and engineering support to other departments/disciplines.
8. Construction administration - leading and attending meetings, renewing change orders, responding to RFI's.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Minimum 8 years of experience in large scale commercial projects
• Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Effective meeting management skills.
• Basic understanding of Architectural, Electrical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices.
• Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Professional Engineering Registration.
