Job Description
Darling Geomatics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Land Surveyor to join our team. As a Registered Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing certain aspects of the Survey Division including mining, boundary surveys, Records of Survey and AutoCAD, Trimble and another software use. Additionally, you will be involved in coordinating survey control work for some of our drone and terrestrial 3D scanning services.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
Work with other RLSs at the Company to conduct land surveys and prepare detailed survey reports
Manage survey crews and coordinate field operations, especially as they relate to mining, boundary surveys and records of survey
Familiarity with Trimble survey equipment and software
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to process survey data and create accurate digital drawings
Manage survey drafters, proof CAD work, deliver products to customers
Provide support to engineers and mining customers in interpreting survey data for construction and development projects
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of survey results
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and surveying techniques
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior survey staff
Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as required
Requirements
Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) in the state of Arizona or ability to obtain within 6 months
Proven experience in managing survey crews and CAD operations
Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and techniques
Proficient in using CAD and Trimble software for processing survey data and creating accurate drawings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Detail-oriented and able to work with high levels of accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Prior experience in the engineering or mining industry is preferred
