Job Description:

Piper Companies is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a Semiconductor Manufacturing Company located in California. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will need to sit on site 4 days per week in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • Lead mechanical design and analysis for advanced packaging.
  • Develop and optimize surface mount technology and assembly processes.
  • Design air and liquid cooling systems for electronic components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate photonics packages.
  • Document and present mechanical design and analysis results.

    • Requirements for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with air and liquid cooling systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced packaging and surface mount technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of flip chip, 2.5D, and 3D packaging technologies, including TSVs.
  • Preferred experience with photonics package integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Compensation for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • $130,000 - $200,000
