DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an
Advanced Mechanical Engineer position that just opened in
Middleton, RI. In this role, you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, building, and testing various types of tactical equipment used onboard Navy submarines. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Pay: $55.58/hour
Telecommute: Open to 100% remote
Overview: You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, building, and testing various types of tactical equipment used onboard Navy submarines.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: • Design of electro-mechanical systems used in the defense industry.
• Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.
• Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
Requirements: • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards.
• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects.
• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
