Your Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll take charge of key electrical and control elements, ensuring efficient system performance, safety, and scalability. Your responsibilities include:

  • Electrical System Design - Develop layouts, select control components, and program systems for optimal performance.
  • Power Conversion & Distribution - Design and implement AC to DC rectifier systems for industrial applications.
  • Arc Flash Safety & Compliance - Ensure designs meet Arc Flash safety standards, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Automation & Instrumentation - Design, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC & SCADA systems (Siemens, Ladder Logic, Function Block).
  • Testing & Implementation - Support product testing, field installations, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Manufacturability & Quality - Ensure designs align with manufacturing, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Leadership - Guide electricians, troubleshoot component failures, and provide innovative engineering solutions.


What You Need

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, automation, and process equipment installation
  • Expertise in AC to DC rectifiers and power distribution systems
  • Knowledge and application of Arc Flash safety regulations and mitigation strategies
  • PLC and HMI/SCADA programming expertise (Siemens preferred)
  • Experience in the hydrogen and/or natural gas industries (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of hazardous area codes and standards
  • Strong CAD skills and familiarity with ERP and quality management systems
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, plus P.Eng. designation
