We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment, focusing primarily on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your expertise will be crucial in the development of cost-effective and efficient HVAC systems for commercial use. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about mechanical design and is looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery related to HVAC systems.
2. Apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials in the design process.
3. Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals on project planning and design.
4. Perform cost and timeline estimations for the design and implementation of HVAC systems.
5. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
6. Ensure designs meet legal guidelines and safety requirements according to ASME standards.
7. Use AutoCAD to create detailed mechanical designs and schematics.
8. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
9. Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods used for the HVAC systems.
10. Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain concepts and product plans to clients and top management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Professional Engineering License (P.E.) is preferred.
3. A minimum of 12 years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a senior role.
4. Profound knowledge and experience in mechanical design, heating and cooling, HVAC and refrigeration design, air distribution, variable air volume, ductwork systems, HVAC piping, and plumbing.
5. Commercial HVAC experience is a must.
6. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software.
7. Exceptional understanding of ASME standards.
8. Strong ability to perform cost analysis and manage project budgets.
9. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
10. Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
11. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and performance.
12. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
13. Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest industry advancements and trends.
