An exciting opportunity for an Electrical Designer/EIT to join an established engineering consultancy in the Greater Vancouver Area.


Your new company:

Celebrating over 40 years in the industry, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Engineer/ Designer to join the best team in town! Since its incorporation in the '80s, our client has designed more than thousands of industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential buildings throughout Canada and the USA!


Your new Role:

As the Electrical Designer/EIT, you will liaise with internal engineers/ staff to gather project requirements and designs, create detailed designs with CAD software, perform electrical load calculations for residential, commercial, or mixed-use buildings (including high-rise buildings), and prepare and review rough sketches and review them. As well as this, you will identify potential issues and redesign drafting standards to improve functionality and coordinate utility services with BC hydro, Telus and Shaw.


What you'll need to Succeed:

To succeed in this role, you will have 2+ years of experience in the industry, ideally with commercial, residential, or mixed used buildings. You will have your Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and be eligible to obtain P.Eng. Experience with CAD will be necessary and specifically developing construction documents would be beneficial. You will need strong written and communication skills and work well in a team-based environment.
