We are a small engineering firm based in Waterloo, founded in 2015, that supplies energy/electricity
engineering services to the ICI and agricultural sector. The company is in a strong growth pattern, and
seeks an intermediate level electrical engineer to grow with the business.

- Renewable energy portfolios including solar, wind, anaerobic digesters, and wood gasification
- Design of an 8 MW power substation

- Arc flash analysis

Working Conditions
- Design work will be done in the Waterloo office at Den 1880, a boutique co-working office space
that inspires collaboration and a community of professionals
- Site visits will be required. Our clients are typically within a 90-minute drive of Waterloo, but
some range as far as Eastern Ontario.
- Field work will require the use of the provided personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety
shoes/glasses)
- The core schedule is a 40-hour work week, with hours from 8am-4pm Monday to Friday but may
be adjusted as needed on a case-by-case basis.
Duties
- Design electrical and mechanical systems under the direction of the lead engineer, for example:
Interconnection and design of renewable energy systems
Energy efficient multi-residential design
Execution of energy conservation projects
Site meetings & client visits to understand the scope and requirements of the project
Research & review specifications to determine the most suitable equipment for the
project
- Candidate will be reporting to P.Eng, as such there will be the opportunity to gain experience
towards license requirements Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate from an electrical design or engineering college or university program
- Ability to solve problems, research information, and find answers independently
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without
supervision.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, personable, works independently
- Knowledge of CAD
- Familiarity with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code an asset
- Eligibility for a Professional Engineering license is preferred

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
