This role is responsible for the conceptual design, analysis, calculations, and development of protection settings for substation protection systems. The primary focus is on implementing new protective relaying solutions for both upgrades to existing infrastructure and new capital investments in the transmission system.
Additional responsibilities include providing support for protective relay settings, system troubleshooting, and maintaining standardized settings templates for protective devices such as transmission lines, transformers, buses, and capacitors.
The position also involves managing and responding to Protection System settings tasks using the team's planning tools. This includes coordinating requests from various internal groups such as Account Management, Distribution, Transmission Planning, System Performance, and other departments within PGO-Transmission. The candidate will support Transmission Capital project initiatives and be responsible for the quality assurance of OLRs (One-Line Reports) and protection system settings.
