Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will be working for a prominent utility company based in Surrey BC. This is starting as an 18 month contract, 5-days a week onsite role with occasional travel to the various sites in the utility. The successful candidate will be working on sustainment projects that are dictated by the overall team to ensure assets are being maintained properly. This individual will be responsible for engineering design & oversight, project execution, technical leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Daily duties may include changing equipment, stress analysis, changing piping, records and documentation management. The successful individual must have a blend between project management and technical skills. The individual must have their Professional Engineer Designation and hold their Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

• Professional Engineering (P.Eng) Certification and Bachelor's of Engineering Required
• 7-8 years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience is required with a blend of Technical & Leadership
• Ideal for individuals comfortable balancing hands-on engineering with project leadership responsibilities Industry Background
• Open to candidates from utilities or consulting backgrounds
• Prior experience working on station projects is highly valued
• Experience working in the utility industry
