If so, we'd love to talk with you about an Electrical/Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity in the Dayton area!


The company specializes in plant process and heavy industrial industries, such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, mining, and manufacturing. They rely on their Electro-Mechanical Engineers to play a critical role in ensuring that complex machinery, power distribution, and automated systems operate reliably, efficiently, and safely.


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Power Systems and Equipment Design
  • Lead and/or contribute to electrical design packages for industrial projects, from concept through construction.
  • Support the design and layout for power distribution systems, motor control centers, transformers, VFDs, switchgear, and lighting systems.
  • Develop and interpret single line diagrams, cable sizing plans, and power correction schemes.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams and integrate electrical design with mechanical and process systems.
  • Travel to client sites when needed for troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
  • Interpret P&IDs and ensure alignment of electrical systems with process requirements.
  • Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit and/or Navisworks to deliver high quality, coordinated design models and drawings.


Our Ideal Candidate Will Have?


  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design, ideally for industrial or manufacturing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, power distribution, cable sizing, lighting design, and associated systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems integrations.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Working knowledge of P&IDs and integration with electrical systems.
