Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Duration: PERM

Salary: 114-152k

Location: Lexington, KY area

Shift: M-F Regular 40-hour work week

  • Hybrid 2 days remote, 3 days in office - 5 days in office in the beginning

ABET Accredited degree


Interview Process: 2 rounds

  • 1st: Phone/Video with HR and Manager
  • 2nd: In Person interview with Manager

Top Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10+ years of professional experience with heavy industrial process engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering process and principles required for Life Cyle Asset Management (LCAM methodologies)
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, ISO

Plusses:

  • A background in simple and combined gas cycle turbine power generation
  • Natural Gas Combined Cycle(NGCC) experience.

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Lexington, KY area. This individual must have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program and will lead mechanical engineering efforts for the maintenance, reliability, and performance optimization of power generation assets. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies for Life Cyle Asset Management, including condition monitoring, root cause analysis, and predicative maintenance. This role will also support operations and maintenance teams with technical expertise on mechanical systems - including gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators, pumps, compressors, etc. It can be expected that this engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute capital projects, retrofits, and upgrades, ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in reliability engineering and Life Cyle Asset Management (LCAM), with a strong background in heavy industrial process engineers and gas turbine power generation.
