Job Description:

Join our growing team as a Process Engineer in Waverly, Iowa-a welcoming community and strong manufacturing hub. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a food, beverage, or chemical industry background to lead process improvements, scale new technologies, and support plant operations.

We're especially interested in local or regional candidates (IA, MN, WI), or those with ties to Iowa who want to return to the Midwest.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or support on-site engineering projects from concept to implementation
• Develop engineering plans, schedules, budgets, and monitor project progress
• Collaborate with corporate engineering and site leadership
• Troubleshoot production challenges and support technical needs for operations
• Coordinate scale-up projects, including new process or equipment installations
• Work closely with production teams to identify and eliminate bottlenecks
• Provide direction to production operators, and train teams on process improvements
• Draft and update SOPs and technical documentation
• Serve as a technical contact for key customer accounts
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and internal quality and safety standards
• Provide hands-on coverage during production needs, including operating equipment if required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
• OR 10+ years of relevant industry experience without a degree
• 1-5+ years in food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing
• Knowledge of production engineering, process improvement, and quality systems
• Familiarity with ISO, QSR, or GMP environments is preferred
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and project execution skills
