Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and manufacturing of generator sets and related power systems. In this role, you will use CAD software to create mechanical designs, part drawings, and system layouts that support production, fabrication, and assembly operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical components, enclosures, and system assemblies for generator sets using CAD software (3D modeling, layout views, and detailed drawings)
  • Generate parametric part and assembly drawings, 2D schematics, and DXF files for fabrication
  • Create and manage complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) for custom generator systems
  • Produce 2D wiring diagrams and technical sketches for use in assembly and field service
  • Use CAD tools to generate machine code for CNC operations
  • Verify critical part dimensions and compatibility with sourced components
  • Perform stress simulations on enclosures and frame assemblies based on customer specifications
  • Assist in new product development and custom generator configurations
  • Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company policies


Requirements:

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to power generation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Familiarity with sheet metal design, welding basics, and fabrication processes
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks Simulation or similar analysis tools
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, custom-engineered product environment
  • Valid Class C Driver's License required
