Textron Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I (Electronic Systems) in Goose Creek, SC to work on electro-mechanical products, systems, and processes for simulation training devices.
Responsibilities - Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain electro-mechanical products, systems, and processes to support new and existing simulation training devices.
- Design new component parts, assemblies, and production drawings using 3D CAD software.
- Alter and/or modify existing designs to achieve specified functional and operational performance.
- Review and evaluate existing mechanical design drawings and specifications.
- Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design modifications or new system applications.
Qualifications - Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Solid modeling, Mechanical Drawings, Common fabrication and assembly processes, Structural design fundamentals, Fastening and joining and Engineering lab safety
- Experience working with CAD software
- This position requires a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
